  • During the 2017-2018 academic year, Wake Forest continued its efforts at building a stronger campus community through a year-long focus that invited the community to understand and grapple with a more virtual, diverse, polarized and global society. This effort was called Rethinking Community and featured a series of conferences, dialogues, national speakers, performances, and much else.
  • In the fall of 2016, Wake Forest announced its intention to join the Universities Studying Slavery consortium, and the announcement was made in February of 2017.
  • In the 2012-2013 academic year, Wake Forest commemorated the 50th anniversary of its integration with the Faces of Courage celebration, honoring the legacy and important actions of all those – past and present — contributing to the diverse and vibrant campus community.
